Keeping children safe.
Our films feature children and young people in their own communities. Their safety and dignity come before any story. Safeguarding is a launch blocker — no campaign featuring children goes live until every requirement here is met.
How we work with children
Before any image or video of a child is published, we complete the following — without exception:
- Written parental consent. Bilingual consent forms (English plus the local language) are walked through with each family in person. They cover use of images and video on the platform, use in social-media promotion, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Forms are signed and stored securely.
- Two-person content review. Everything featuring a child is reviewed before publication — the creator produces, an admin and the safeguarding officer review. Nothing exploitative, sexualising, or endangering is published.
- Minimal data. Children are not users of the platform and we collect no accounts or personal data from them. Only what consent covers is shown.
Content rules for minors
Who’s responsible
Janiece is our designated safeguarding officer. She is responsible for reviewing consent forms, approving content featuring minors, handling concerns, and maintaining safeguarding records. You can reach her via [email protected].
Background checks
All adults working directly with children undergo checks:
- UK — DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
- Philippines — NBI clearance (National Bureau of Investigation)
- Indonesia — SKCK (police clearance certificate)
Legal compliance
United Kingdom
We follow the UK safeguarding framework and the Online Safety Act: a documented platform risk assessment, age-appropriate content guidelines, a documented moderation process, a reporting mechanism for concerns, and a designated contact for online-safety matters.
Philippines
- Compliance with RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination).
- Compliance with RA 9775 (Anti-Child Pornography Act) for all published content.
- RA 9231 (working-children protections) — no child labour in fulfilment; activities like building or handwritten cards are educational, not work.
- DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) clearance and SEC registration checks for working with children as a foreign entity.
Reporting a concern
If you see anything that worries you, tell us. Email [email protected] with “Safeguarding” in the subject. Our response process:
- Immediate. Any concerning content is removed from the platform.
- Notify. The safeguarding officer is informed at once.
- Assess & report. We determine severity and the appropriate authority to contact (local police, NSPCC in the UK, or DSWD in the Philippines).
- Document & support. We record what happened and the actions taken, and prioritise the wellbeing of those affected.
